7 reasons people are switching to nasal breathing

Not a hack and not a cure. Just the way your body was built to breathe, made a little easier by a strip that lifts the sides of the nose from the outside.

Breathy Transparent Strips

1

Your nose was built for this

Your nose isn't just a way in. It warms, filters and moistens the air on its way through, which is part of why breathing through it tends to feel calmer than pulling air in through the mouth.

Most of us know this already. The trouble is that a narrow or stuffy-feeling nose makes the mouth the easy option, and habits follow the easy option.

2

It's easier when the nose has a little more room

Breathy Transparent Strips use a single PET band, edge to edge, that lifts the sides of the nose from the outside. No pressure inside the nostril and nothing to inhale. The band is designed for up to 30% more airflow, and that's the whole mechanism: a bit more room, held in place.

3

Training: it holds through the last set

A strip that peels off when you sweat isn't much use. The Henkel adhesive is made to hold through the session, and the one-piece band doesn't split or lift at the edges.

Many people put one on before a run, a ride or a gym session simply because nose breathing feels steadier when the nose isn't working against them.

4

Sleep: an easier start to the night

A strip before bed can make nasal breathing feel easier from the moment the lights go off. The band is flexible and moves with your face, and each strip is single use, up to 12 hours.

If your mouth tends to fall open once you're asleep, some people pair the strip with mouth tape. Strip first, check you're breathing comfortably through your nose, then the tape.

5

Hay fever season

When your nose feels stuffy in spring, it's tempting to give up and breathe through your mouth all day. A strip lifts the sides of the nose from the outside. It doesn't treat hay fever and it isn't a medicine, but many people find it makes the stuffy days a little easier to get through.

If your nose is fully blocked, a strip won't change that. Speak to your pharmacist.

6

Focus: the desk hours

Some people wear a strip while they work, read or study. Not because it's a focus product (it isn't), but because breathing through the nose is easier to keep up when the nose has a little more room.

The transparent strip is the one people tend to choose for the day: it draws the least attention.

7

Nothing to take, and cheap to try

No medication, no chemicals, nothing that shows up on a test. Drug-free, latex-free, purely mechanical support.

On the 3-pack it works out at about $1.00 a day, or around $0.70 a day with the extra 30% that comes off at checkout.
